Nobody was hurt during the incident which took place at the station which is located just outside the town.Local county councillor Albert Doherty said it was a callous act.“It is a dastardly act and something we don’t want connected to the town.“The night itself, although it was Halloween, was relatively quiet apart from this incident. “Somebody somewhere must have seen something and I would appeal to anybody with information to contact the Gardai,” he said.Anyone with information is asked to contact Carndonagh Garda Station on 074 937 4109.Outrage after Garda car torched outside local station was last modified: November 2nd, 2017 by StephenShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window) Tags:blazeCarndonagh Garda stationdonegalfirepatrol carset alightlast_img read more

first_imgRose says these new features play into the hands of publishers because the viral aspect of sharing stories with friends will help stories achieve higher digg counts. If one person diggs a story, it shows up on the homepages of their followers, and if they digg it, the process continues. To make the process of getting articles online even simpler, publishers can now claim their RSS feeds and automatically publish their content on Digg without having to visit the site. Why Tech Companies Need Simpler Terms of Servic… A Web Developer’s New Best Friend is the AI Wai… Tags:#Publishing Services#web Related Posts 8 Best WordPress Hosting Solutions on the Marketcenter_img Top Reasons to Go With Managed WordPress Hosting In an interesting nugget of Friday afternoon news, Michael Arrington of TechCrunch has posted an article featuring a preview of the upcoming fourth version of the social news site Digg. Founder Kevin Rose has published a glorious 1080p video to YouTube aimed at explaining the new features to publishers. Among the most interesting features is the inclusion of social network contacts into the Digg ecosystem, as well as the ability for publishers to auto-publish stories to Digg via an RSS feed.Just like when joining most Web services these days, users will be asked to search their Facebook and Twitter accounts (among others) to follow friends and contacts via Digg. The Digg homepage will then default to a page consisting entirely of stories dugg by the users they choose to follow. When browsing articles either on the social “My News” section, or on the more traditional “Top News” tab, users will be able to see which stories their friends have dugg, as well as view their friends’ comments directly in-line with the story. chris cameron These changes and additions may be just what the doctor ordered for Digg which has had to continually delay these updates. Personally the preview looks pretty slick, and may actually bring me back to using Digg on a more regular basis. Check our Rose’s video below and let us know what you think in the comments.last_img read more

first_img Essential Reading! Get my 2nd book: The Lost Art of Closing “In The Lost Art of Closing, Anthony proves that the final commitment can actually be one of the easiest parts of the sales process—if you’ve set it up properly with other commitments that have to happen long before the close. The key is to lead customers through a series of necessary steps designed to prevent a purchase stall.” Buy Now When I was a teenager I fronted a rock-n-roll band. At 17 years old, I was playing in bars that I would not have been allowed in otherwise. In many cases, the bands that my band opened for were much older—and much better—than we were. It was there that I was infected with a negative belief structure. When a band was playing, the members of other bands would stand at the back of the bar and criticize the band that was playing. They would find something wrong with the singer, or the guitarist wasn’t really a shredder (as if that is even important when it comes to rock-n-roll, which is really more attitude than it is a competency). This was especially true for big, national acts who were experiencing the success that everyone else believed they deserved. Hanging around for a while, I learned to do the same thing. Like the others, I’d stand around being jealous. At some point, my competitive nature took over, and I started to look at the bands that were playing through a different lens. First and foremost, they were better than we were. Second, and more importantly, they drew bigger crowds. We were opening for them, and not the other way around. It struck me that instead of trying to find reasons to criticize other bands, I should be trying to discover why so many people like them—even though I didn’t particularly like them. This massively improved our results by helping my little outfit make changes, whereas criticizing other bands produced no measurable benefit. There are people who you may not like because you disagree with them on ideas or issues, and you may avoid looking at what they believe and why they believe it because you couldn’t be further apart in certain areas. This is a mistake because it prevents you from another perspective, a perspective that can improve your own. Instead of looking at what is wrong with what someone else does or what they believe, look instead to see if you can understand the value in their ideas, their beliefs, or their actions—or at least look to understand why they believe what they believe. When you don’t like something, it is worth your time and effort to explore it. If an idea makes you uncomfortable, that is almost always an idea that is valuable for you to explore.last_img read more
