first_imgAt the 8th session of the City Council of the City of Šibenik, the Decision on amending the Decision on Communal Order was adopted.The adopted Decision included a ban on the consumption of alcoholic beverages in public areas, which are not leased to perform catering activities. So, in all public areas, and the fines for drinking alcohol in public city areas will be one hundred euros.Pursuant to the prohibition, this Decision creates a legal framework for the conduct of communal wardens and police officers in maintaining public order and peace. This initiative was initiated by the Šibenik Police Administration in order to prevent behaviors contrary to public order and peace.The decision shall enter into force on the eighth day after its publication in the Official Gazette of the City of Šibenik.Such and similar decisions should be made before the summer season Decisions that directly affect tourists, the destination and all tourism workers, such as raising ticket prices for museums, and thus the said Decision, must be made a year in advance or at least announced so that everyone in the destination can prepare.So with the Decision on the ban on alcohol consumption in Šibenik, which mostly refers to young tourists who come to the city for various festivals. Certainly, in accordance with the Decision, information boards / signs had to be placed in the city so that everyone could get acquainted with the new Decision, as well as inform the passengers of the agency, hotels and all renters.This can lead to unnecessary inconvenience due to lack of information. It would certainly be good for everyone to inform their guests about the ban on alcohol consumption in public areas.last_img
